About Echo Lunae
Echo Lunae is a progressive rock band from Sweden,
blending textured soundscapes with poetic storytelling
and an experimental spirit.
Drawing from a wide palette of influences,
their music crosses language barriers
and moves between the intimate and the epic.
Lars Jonsson
Musician, composer and producer. Owner of “The Forest studio” south of Linköping, the centre of Bauta Records production. In this studio he combines many instruments and sounds of different kinds.
Inspiration comes all the way from medieval songs, through the romantic classical era, to the art rock and improvised creative chaos of the 1970’s and 80’s.
His music can be described as in a review in Audion magazine: ”Bizarre sounding Swedish lyrics, cleverly crafted with off-beat rhythms and unusual melodic structures…”.
Lachen also works with sounds in other different concepts and environments: Exhibitions, installations or film. He has collaborated with Swedish artists as Göran Littorin and others. Also member of Zut un feu rouge, Songs Between, UR KAOS and Fontana Re:Mix.
Samuel Edvardsson
Samuel Edvardsson studied classical guitar at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden, and has since performed in various constellations across several countries and throughout Sweden.
He has a strong interest in contemporary art music and has participated in numerous premieres. Composers such as Marcelo Carneiro, Katarina Leyman, Tatjana Prelevic, Andrea Tarrodi, and Max E. Keller have written music specifically for him.
Samuel also has a passion for Brazilian music and has performed in Fortaleza, Brazil, as well as at the legendary bossa nova club Beco das Garrafas in Rio de Janeiro.
He has collaborated with artists and musicians such as soprano Laura Pohl, video artist Tosh Leykum, singer Rasmus Ringborg, guitarist Magnus Andersson, mezzo-soprano Monica Danielson, and singer Beatriz Bandeira. Samuel also runs the guitar school Optimum Guitar.
With Echo Lunae, Samuel explores his interest in poetic expression, the Portuguese language, experimental and progressive rock, and vocal and guitaristic expression — embracing the improvised, the boundary-crossing, and the magical in music.
